The garden was built by Yong Pan, the creator of the Missouri Chinese Gardens. All material and labor were imported from Suzhou, China, the World Heritage Centre for Chinese Gardens. It is one of only several authentic Chinese Classical Gardens in the US.
Chinese classical gardens are microcosms of the earth (roads, mountains, seas, rivers, woods, buildings, fortifications, etc.). Our garden exemplifies this.
